Sweet lovin' - Sigala


In rhis music video there is a lot of uses of colour, the music video is bright and happy. The main person in the music video is dancing throughout and herself is happy. The video is set on the streets of LA of what it looks like and it has a very summery mise-en-scene which helps add that dance music feel to the music video.










Finesse - Bruno Mars ft Cardi B

In this music video it has a very 90's feel to it and the music video style is very simililar to the way the fresh prince of bel-air was filmed and the way that everybody dresses in the video is also very similar to the fresh prince of bel-air. In the music video they do a lot of dancing which helps it add to that music video feel.












One Kiss - Calvin Harris ft Dua Lipa

In this music video it has the 'tropical' feel to it, although it is a green screen behind her, it still has that summery vibe to it. There are a lot of colours involved in the music video which helps it have that feel of a dance music video.











In all three of these music videos they all have bright colours in them, also in a typical dance music video the women that are used are usually in barely any clothing, and this is the case with all three of these. In the first music video sweet lovin the main person in the video is wearing short shorts and a crop top, in the second music video finesse the main singer Cardi B is in shorts as well.

    Again, you need to return to these posts and add a detailed textual analysis of all three. Think back to how you wrote about representation for the exam question.

American Beauty  Representation: Carolyn (wife): The way that Carolyn is represented in this film is that she takes control in the house and she's the 'man of the house' she chooses the music as she makes the most of the effort in the house. With her choice of music this could mean that she misses the past and she wants to go back as that could mean that was when the times were better for her and her family. This could mean that she has a poor life and she's in despair. When she's at home it's as if she's acting and putting on a different persona and acting as everything is fine when it isn't. Jane(daughter): The way that Jane is represented in this film is that she isn't close with her parents, she doesn't talk to them what so ever. How do you intend to use the four areas of the media theoretical framework to communicate meaning and meet the requirements of your chosen brief? (approx. 400 words) The artist that I am creating is going to be a duo, their name is going to represent the type of music they’re going to produce and it’s going to stand out. The logo for the artist is going to look clean and modern, as this then represents the artist and also the type of music they listen too. The logo is going to have the same colours as the rest of the website so then they all match and makes it look simple yet modern.
