Statement of intent

How do you intend to use the four areas of the media theoretical framework to communicate meaning and meet the requirements of your chosen brief? (approx. 400 words)


The artist that I am creating is going to be a duo, their name is going to represent the type of music they’re going to produce and it’s going to stand out.
The logo for the artist is going to look clean and modern, as this then represents the artist and also the type of music they listen too. The logo is going to have the same colours as the rest of the website so then they all match and makes it look simple yet modern.
The duo is in their teens so they can relate to the younger audience, the music video is also going to have a young look to it, but also still make it mature for the younger people.
My artists’ logo and name is going to represent the type of music they’re going to produce, so the logo is going to include bright colours to help it stand out from the rest of the other artists logos. In the music video I want it to be bright and colourful just like the logo the name.
The industry of music is the universal music group. Now a days I think there is a gap for dance music in the universal music group as most artists come from different backgrounds and different genres of music.
My artist is going to appear mature and young to help relate to the younger audience, but also I want it to be mature so then it can relate to the older audience. The website is going to have a clean look to it and so it looks modern and relatable and everything on the website is going to be easily accessible for all users. 
The song that I have chosen is going to be 'promises' by Calvin Harris ft Sam Smith I think this song would be perfect for the age range and the music video idea that i have will relate to the younger audience

Teenagers spend 40 days a year looking at their mobile phones. In this article they use negative words about the teenagers, the most popular one is 'addictive' or 'addicted' and then that shortly follows with the word phone. probably the most positive word in the article is 'London came last with 37 days', this is the most positive word in the article as the rest is negative and saying how every teenager spends over 2 hours on their phone and that they're 'glued' to their phone. This article shows us what adults think about us and how much time we spend on our phones, these attitudes are not fair and they're not always true as no every teenager spends that much time on their phone and with this they are using one big stereotype that teenagers can't live without their phone and if they are without it then they have anxiety. Who is the target audience here? The target audience is the younger generation of people, pre-teen to teens. How can you tell? You can tell by the way the game is set out and how simple it is. The dialogue is also very simple and the way that they have made their characters have a sense of humour and the types of jokes made.  How does this differ from other versions of Minecraft?
